Pendragon Castle

Pendragon Castle is a remarkable romantic ruin in the most beautiful and dramatic rural setting in the upper Eden Valley, Cumbria (within the extended Yorkshire Dales National Park area). Reputed to be the site of the ancient home of Uther Pendragon, the site was originally fortified and later a residence. It has an important part in the history of the region and the nation and has been owned by a number of noteworthy people over centuries of occupation, and attacks.
We have a longstanding appointment for the care of the castle and its surroundings and are assisting the owner in planning for conservation, repairs and long term management of the site and sensitive adaptations to encourage wider public engagement, visitor access and site safety.
