Talks and Lectures
Andrew has held teaching roles at the Welsh School of Architecture (Cardiff University) at undergraduate and postgraduate level and for four years led modules of the MSc Course in Sustainable Building Conservation, focussing on interpreting and understanding historic buildings (their history, morphology and context as well as their materiality, construction, condition and defects) and on conservative methods of repair. Andrew still teaches on the course from time to time and has given talks on condition surveys, church repair projects and the ecclesiastical exemption.
Andrew has given talks to architecture students at the Centre for Alternative Technology on historic building conservation and has led workshops on perspective drawing and hand drawing / sketching skills.
Andrew has also given talks and tours of historic building sites for various groups and has lectured on church repairs and stone conservation at the RICS / SPAB Summer School.
